Working with Gaby has given me four main benefits: Confidence, a proper understanding of the need to fuel for purpose, specific advice and ideas, and a genuine excitement that I now have a stronger foundation for my body.
I first heard of Gaby and IntensEATfit through Tribe & Trail’s promotion of a sweat test. A bit of research made me realise I could benefit from a better understanding of my nutrition needs and how I manage it.
I’m an experienced, average runner who had cobbled together a few thoughts and practices on fuelling/energy for some of the shorter ultra events (5 to 8 hours). I also tried the backyard ultra for the first time at Herdys 2022. I’ve had just a few events and training sessions where I felt great throughout, but loads more where I goosed myself and hit that wall! Essentially I had no consistency in results and hadn’t recognised the importance of consistent fuelling practices, especially in my day-to-day life and training.
